The Kawis aren't really competitive in MotoGP, are they? Still a fine looking bike that would tear your face off if you tried to ride it.

I think they've been dropping off the radar a bit, which is a shame. The Zx-R is a great looking bike though.

The hunt is still on, but the budget that I'm working with isn't heeding much results. I've looked into the Katana, but all of they seem to have been dropped millions of times. Chances are, I'm going to pile up enough cash to be able to afford a somewhat newer/nicer bike.
How's your world with bikes going?

I've had an EX-500 for about 4+ years now, and I think its a great deal for a street bike. Super cheap to buy/run/insure, reliable, still fun. They are also more likely to be taken care of, and not wrecked/stunted, like a lot of 600cc machines. If you can find a 2000+ model with <15,000 miles for around $2,000-2,500, I'd jump on it. Ditto the SV650, but those tend to command a bit higher price.

Very frustrating, I was in that boat for a couple of years and ended up with still a minute budget o 2k for a bike.
I've stopped actively looking for a few reasons, I need to get all season tires for this winter, I want an exhaust and a short throw shifter. All of which equate to what I was hoping to spend on a bike. But who knows what happens next, I've been looking at the FZ-09 for a more realistic commuter, and more balanced all-round bike. And they're not that expensive either.

Yeah, I've considered the Fz-09 also. It's a good bike plus I love the blue wheels with gold forks. I'll either save for a used R6 or a new Ninja 3-600.
